The concept of "Player" comes from the realization that there are two orthagonal pieces of object scripting: that which relates to "game AI", and that which relates to gameplay. Players exist to implement the former as scripted entities designed to take the role of a human player for computer-controlled characters. In practice, a Player is an instance of a class that responds to actions and uses them to make AI decisions and control the movements of a character.

The basic Player classes have yet to be implemented; see ToDoPlayerClasses.

The "Player" concept has been dissected and developed by ArakoN into a system of "memes", so the "player class" is an obsolete idea. The meme system is not completely finished, so you'll have to wait until later for more details.
